周海波博士报告题目:WhiteFi Infostation: Engineering Vehicular Media Streaming with Geolocation Database
报告摘要:The TV White Spaces (TVWS) enabled Infostation has received significant attention due to its wide area coverage for cost-effective and media-rich content dissemination. In this paper, we engineer WhiteFi Infostation which is dedicated for Internet-based vehicular media streaming by leveraging Geolocation database. After demonstrating the empirical observations of unique TVWS features and analyzing the real-world TVWS data collected from Geolocation database, we first propose an optimal TVWS network planning to deploy WhiteFi Infostation with the objective of maximizing network-wide throughput. The proposed TVWS network planning jointly considers the multi-radio configuration and the channel-power tradeoff, which can be realized by decentralized Markov approximation. Furthermore, we introduce a location-aware contention-free multi-polling access scheduling scheme for vehicular media streaming, which is taken into account both the realistic vehicular applications and dynamics of wireless channel conditions. Through extensive simulations with real-world empirical TVWS data and urban vehicular traces, we demonstrate that our WhiteFi Infostation solution can well support both the delay-sensitive and delay-tolerant vehicular media streaming services.
周海波博士个人简历:Haibo Zhou received the Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2014. Since 2014, He is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Broadband Communications Research (BBCR) Group, University of Waterloo. He published 2 monographs and 2 book chapters, over 40 Journal/conference papers, including high quality journal papers such as IEEE JSAC, TITS, TWC, TVT and mainstream conferences such as IEEE Globecom, ICC. He participated Canada NSERC Strategic Project, China 973, 863, and NSFC Key Project. He was the recipient of the WCSP'15 Best Paper Award,INFOCOM'11 Best Poster of Student Activities, 2012 Ministry of Education CSC scholarship. He has been serving as many designated professional reviewers of high quality journals, such as IEEE JSAC, TMC, TWC, TITS, TVT, TB and TPC member for many IEEE conferences, like INFOCOM, ICC, Globecom and VTC. His current research interests include resource management and protocol design in cognitive radio networks and vehicular networks.

倪剑兵报告题目:Secure and Deduplicated Spatial Crowdsourcing: A Fog-Based Approach
报告摘要:With the proliferation of mobile devices, spatial crowdsourcing is rising as a new paradigm that enables individuals to participate in tasks related to some locations in the physical world. Nevertheless, how to allocate these tasks to proper mobile users and improve communication efficiency are critical in spatial crowdsourcing. In this presentation, we propose Fo-DSC, a fog-based deduplicated spatial crowdsourcing framework to achieve precise task allocation and secure data deduplication. Specifically, by integrating fog computing, we design a two-step task allocation mechanism to improve the accuracy of tasks allocation in spatial crowdsourcing. The fog nodes need to detect and erase the repeated data in crowdsensing reports without learning any information about the reports. Furthermore, Fo-DSC efficiently records the contributions of mobile users whose data are reduplicated and deleted. As a result, these users do not become discouraged. Finally, we demonstrate that Fo-DSC satisfies the properties of fog-based task allocation and secure data deduplication with low computational and communication overheads.
倪剑兵个人简历: 加拿大滑铁卢大学电子与计算机工程专业博士生,2014年6月获得电子科技大学计算机技术专业工程硕士学位。研究方向为密码学与网络安全,主要从事智能电网,车载网,物联网和云计算等方向的安全与隐私保护研究。曾主持四川省科技创新苗子工程项目两项,参与多项国家自然科学基金的研究。在TDPS, TIFS, ICC等国际期刊和会议发表论文20余篇,其中SCI检索10篇,并获得国际会议IEEE BWCCA 2015最佳论文奖,申请国家专利4项,已授权1项。连续两年获得研究生国家奖学金,电子科技大学学业一等奖学金,电子科技大学优秀硕士论文奖。担任TVT, TIFS, TC, IEEE Network, FOGS等国际期刊的审稿人,LSNS 2014的publicity and publication chair和Globecom 2016, CS 2015等国际会议的Technical Program Committee Member。
