报告题目: Distributed Secondary Control of an Islanded Microgrid

报告摘要:
In this talk, restorations for both voltage and frequency in the droop-controlled inverter-based islanded microgrid (MG) are addressed. A distributed finite-time control approach is used in the voltage restoration which enables the voltages at all the distributed generations (DGs) to converge to the reference value in finite time and thus the voltage and frequency control design can be separated. Then a consensus-based distributed frequency control is proposed for frequency restoration, subject to certain control input constraints. Our control strategies are implemented on the local DGs and thus no central controller is required in contrast to existing control schemes proposed so far. By allowing these controllers to communicate with their neighboring controllers, the proposed control strategy can restore both voltage and frequency to their respective reference values while having accurate real power sharing, under a sufficient local stability condition established. An islanded MG test system consisting of 4 DGs is built in MATLAB to illustrate our design approach and the results validate our proposed control strategy.

Dr. FanghongGuo received his B. Eng. degree in Automation Science from Southeast University, Nanjing, China in July 2010, M. Eng. degree in Automation Science & Electrical Engineering from Beihang University, Beijing, China in January 2013. From January 2013 to May 2016, he was a PhD candidate in Energy Research Institute @NTU, Interdisciplinary Graduate School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is currently a Research Associate in Rolls-Royce @ NTU Corporate Lab, Nanyang Technological University. His research interests include intelligent power management on More Electrical Aircraft, distributed cooperative control, distributed optimization on microgrid systems, and smart grid.
He was granted “the 2015 National Award for Outstanding Self-financed Chinese Students Study Abroad” in 2015, “Distinguished Dissertation of Master Degree in BeihangUniversity” in 2013, “Best Paper Award” in Chinese Academy of Sciences Automation Forum in 2011, “Outstanding Under-Graduates Award of Southeast University” in 2010.
