报告人简介:毕国安,新加坡南洋理工大学电气电子工程学院教授,IEEE Signal Processing 新加坡分会主席,
 Dr Bi Guoan received a B.Sc degree in Radio communications, Dalian University of Technology, P. R. China, 1982, M.Sc degree in Telecommunication Systems and Ph.D degree in Electronics Systems, Essex University, UK, 1985 and 1988, respectively.He worked at University of Surrey, UK, as a research fellow in 1988 for ASIC design for on-board satellite systems. Since 1991, he has been with the school of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His current research interests include fast algorithms of signal processing, hardware structures and digital signal processing for communications. Recently, he has been working on various issues of using the local polynomial Fourier transforms.
内容介绍:Many practical applications, such as audio, speech, radar and communications,use chirp alike signals shoes frequencies changes with time. To deal with this category of signals, effective methods, such as time-frequency transforms,  are needed to extract information on both frequencies and time. This seminar focuses on the properties and applications of a generalized time-frequency transform, the local polynomial Fourier transform (LPFT), that is particularly useful for dealing with signals that have a polynomial phase. After briefly introducing the general concept of time-frequency transforms (TFTs) and  the  LPFT, fast algorithms are introduced to minimize the required computational complexity. Radar imaging and LPP + Hough transform for detection of the chirp signals are discussed.
